This is Connie Cragg--hoping I am not the last to complete my 'thing'. I am the librarian at Jefferson West Elementary and Intermediate schools in Meriden and Ozawkie (on beautiful Perry Lake,) where I teach 22 classes of K-5 students each week, with one aide, a new Alexandria Library circ/cat program, new tech support via a commercial computer company setting up our district system, and a lot of new technology to learn and use. 'Things' have not all been 'smooth sailing' this year! But maybe we are on the right track?!
I decided to enroll in '23 Things Kansas' to motivate me to learn more about social networking technologies and how to use them. I must admit that I am not a big fan of electronic communications and the idea of sharing your thoughts, feelings, and musings (as in a journal or diary) for everyone to view--just seems wrong--but I am willing to be convinced! One big plus is being connected to other librarians and I am looking forward to learning about Library 2.0. Connie
Hi, Connie. So glad to see you here. I understand what you mean about sharing thoughts online. I've kept a journal or diary for more years that I want to admit, and I wouldn't really want to share those thoughts with anyone. But I am also willing to try something new, so I am excited to see how it goes.

Let me know! it is kind of scary putting your thoughts out there for others to say. I'll admit, there's a bunch of stuff I used to write on blogs, I don't want anyone to see anymore. I hope I don't ever say that about my library blogging. But, you said it: the best part about all of this is the connecting with other librarians and learners.
